Do I need a living trust?

In the State of Florida a living trust is as important as a durable power of attorney. A living trust is the equivalent of a will but is done while you’re living and directs the indication of where assets are to go upon your passing where a will is in effect the same document, but in order to be effective it must be probated in the county where you live. A living trust can be used while you’re alive and have effect once you pass away. More importantly, a living trust is less likely to be attacked by relatives, be it children or grandchildren than a will.
